Executive Officer

Woodlands, wetlands and Marine National Parks will form part of your professional backyard in this role of overseeing the next stage of growth for the Bellarine Catchment Network (BCN). Supporting a small and dedicated staff team, along with 46 member groups, the Executive Officer will further embed BCN as a well-respected and leading environmental organisation within the Geelong region. About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated person to join our Bellarine Peninsula-based team. The role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead a well-established and respected environmental charity through its next development stage. As BCN’s most senior employee, the Executive Officer will drive BCN’s strategic goals by ensuring operational excellence, fostering sustainable partnerships, securing reliable funding, and encouraging forward-looking, innovative programs that protect the region’s ecosystems and empower community action.

The role is ideal for somebody who:

• Is driven by purpose, not just process and are motivated to find creative ways to achieve environmental goals.
• Has a background in the environmental or related sector or bring experience from a purpose driven organisation.
• Thrives wearing many hats and applying your skills and experience across a range of functions and tasks.
• Has a thoughtful and strategic mindset, balancing big-picture vision with attention to detail.
• Enjoys operating autonomously to motivate small teams in a values-driven, collaborative environment.
• Is passionate about environmental sustainability and committed to creating a healthier, more resilient Bellarine Peninsula.
